It has been over two weeks...technology is a struggle!

This time I have an excuse for not blogging for over two weeks; technology.  New Zealand does not have it easy (in my opinion) for the internet.  Every gigabit is expensive and when One has to resort to a base level VODEM functionality returns to the birth years of the internet.  But I am not complaining right now as my littlest brother has a great system and spare capacity!  Hence my first blog since arriving HOME.

Our trip was exceedingly long and exceedingly uneventful (mind the 10 day delay in receiving one suitcase).  Teagan slept through an entire 8 hour layover including security checking and passport control - a lanky sleeping 5 year old is not easy to HEAVE around along with carry-on-luggage.  But our 45 hour journey seemed to finish quicker than expected with Teagan taking off after the glorious Dunedin port entry passport stamp and flying through to the greeting area alone to find her long-lost Jasmine (never mind anyone else!).  If you ever get the chance of choosing Dunedin as the entry point to New Zealand, you will not be disappointed...the cafe, the sheep, the smell, the frosty cold are too good to believe.

Our first two weeks disappeared in a blur of visits, unpacking, rust trike riding, school and farewelling Ross back to the sandpit. Now we are up in Auckland enjoying a slightly improved temperature and delighting in the beach at Mairangi Bay - I hope I have got first dibs in on buying Grant's house when he inevitably moves on to his next home!
