And then she was 6.....

Once upon a time a lady and a man wanted a child.  They tried and they just couldn't.   After a few more tries, along came a damaged set of cells, a few dead cells here and few fragments of cellular debris there and then there was....one a little bump in a belly, a little popsicle.  Then in mad rush from start to end of 3 hours there she arrived a bit like a skinned rabbit.  And now we have a most beautiful, glorious filled out, opinionated confident little creature in our midst.

As our reward, Ross and I were treated to a dinner, prepared by Teagie herself.  The main course (there was only one course) was sprinkle topped buns - mixed sprinkles mind you - bananas and cheese sticks.  We were treated to some kind of discussion about something that made little sense and then we sat down to an episode of George and Mildred.  Now as 7 pm closes in on us, she sleeps - ahhhhh the joys.

A quickie.....

So I am back from seven weeks away from Qatar and a "quickie" was called for.  Not that!  A quick craft!  I had been purchasing some special fabrics and spending time perusing blog sites and thinking about what to make over the coming months.  An early win has now just been completed and shall be put away until Teagan's 6th birthday in one months's time.  Now I have to sit back and finish my Fair Isle cardigan and wait for my on-line embroidery purchase to arrive so that I can complete a smocked dress that Mum and my sister-in-law have made for Teagan.

So here is my quickie and the tutoral can be found on the U-Create site here (Art Packet Tutorial).

Dad, I was good enough today to go to Australia Zoo....

Dear Dad,

I have been practicing being good...my improvements are barely detectable but I continue anyway. Today was my day and Grandma and Mum came with me to Australia Zoo. I got a t-shirt, hat and shorts...no toys because Mum said she ran out of money....but I am happy anyway. After the zoo, I went back to the beach and dived through the waves headfirst in my wet suit.

Love from Teagan

I love....

Dear Dad,

I love: riding trikes, playing with all of my cousins, toasting marshmallows, being with Christine in Oakey (Toowoomba), and I do really like playing at the beach in Mooloolaba....it is not too hot and it is not too cold.

And, Dad, I told Mum that I really love you and Mum the most!
Love from,
Teagan Poppy

Dear Dads...we have some random activities to share with you

Dads,

Big K is a bit strict at the moment but we are okay with that. Teagan is now going to bed nicely (well nearly) and she has a promised reminder posted on the end of the cot. And Lachlan is being less fussy over his food: he has to eat some mouthfuls of most things and knows it will make him ride the bike faster....it is okay Dad because Big K holds up the number of fingers that matches the mouthfuls I need to eat so it is not a big problem...I ate half
a salmon sandwich for lunch even though I announced that I don't like it. Oh, and Teagan doesn't want Big K to tell her Grandma that she wAs pulled out of the swimming pool today by her Mum and didn't get to buy the swim cap she really wanted! Our big cousin April explained that Big K is strict, we think we know what she means. But you know what? We are really happy here especially just playing in the backyard - it is one of the best things ever.

Love from Lachlan and Teagan

P.S Daddy Grant....I went to bed at 6.45pm because I was tired and Big K woke me up at 8 am this morning....mind you I woke up in the night
Because I thought Nigel had gone away....it got fixed fast and I didn't really get upset...Big K is in the room just over from me and she hears everything!

Dear Dads we have turned into Dragons

Dear Dads

It is really cold now so we decided to turn into fire breathing Dragons. They say the Northern motorway is still open and it is only raining in Kurow but we have hail and snow settled at Grandmas.

Mum/Big K let us help her finish our tails. Lachlan chose the fabrics with Big K and Teagan taught Lachlan how to stuff them. We found the tutorial on this blog site - www.tatertotsandjello.blogspot.com - the blog was loaded in March 2011.

Dadda/Dad, we still love you and we are really sorry for not talking to you when you went to all the effort to telephone from Japan/Qatar. We think and talk about you but we figure that you are safe and happy. We are off to play baby Dragons again.

Love from
Teagan and Lachlan

P.S I love my Mum (Eileen) too and I know she is busy and happy.
P.P.S. Lachlans slept for 12h 30 min last night.
